Position at Cine Chromatix

The Producer is the leader of the show delivery team, overseeing the budget, finances, and all aspects of the production to ensure that it is delivered on time and to a high standard. They represent CX to the client and deliver the expected standard of service. They also negotiate our financial compensation after winning the account and work within CX to meet production deadlines. The VFX Producer will work with the VFX Supervisor to focus on maintaining excellent quality of work, adherence to budget and schedule, and the highest standards of professionalism while leading the team in the execution of the director’s artistic vision.

 

What You’ll Do

  •   Act as the primary point of contact for the client, managing the relationship in the best interests of both parties.
  •   Prepare accurate schedules and reports, budgets and negotiate the cost of work, and implement cost/schedule changes. 
  •   Provide leadership to the production team. 
  •   Evaluate project budget and scope of work with production accountants to provide management with timely, consistent, and accurate financial reporting.
  •   Report weekly P&L with the executive producer, making sure that financial targets and executing plans in a timely and accurate manner.
  •   Authorizing invoices and liaising with Production Accounting to ensure that these are paid as scheduled.
  •   Developing a comprehensive and timely document, the Delivery Roadmap, to guide the complex production plans, risks, strategies, timelines, and quota allocations. 
  •   Ensure all deliverables are planned and communicated efficiently by setting key project milestones and maintaining regular communication with the Production Manager, including daily face-to-face meetings.
  •   Maintain the project crew sheet. Work with the crew management to ensure the project is appropriately staffed.
  •   Act professionally and responsibly at all times and providing mentoring and on-the-job training wherever possible, including for new producers, sets the tone for the production team.

Position at Cine Chromatix

The VFX Production Manager is tasked with managing the schedules and overlaps of VFX projects, implementing milestone schedules from the VFX Producer, and overseeing the production delivery and editorial team. This role involves managing client communications, allocating resources, and meeting internal delivery targets. They have a comprehensive understanding of the VFX production pipeline and they are responsible for accurately documenting all client calls and efficiently reporting to the VFX Producer, as well as disseminating information to the coordination and editorial team autonomously. The VFX Production Manager adapts workflows to meet project-specific requirements and responds promptly to any directives from the VFX Producer regarding project management.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the internal scheduling of VFX projects
  • Monitors project progress to meet established quotas
  • Manages the production team daily, oversees the delivery team, and monitors resource allocation
  • Reports to the VFX Producer on resource updates and team performance
  • Assists in the bidding phase with documentation and integration into the studio pipeline

Position at Cine Chromatix

The VFX Production Coordinator is the operational backbone of daily VFX project management, ensuring that schedules and artist assignments are executed flawlessly. They translate the VFX producer/line producer’s schedules and instructions into actionable tasks within the production management tool, guaranteeing on-time task completion by the internal team fostering a clear a constant communication between the art and the production team. Vigilant in ensuring artists have all necessary materials and briefs, they work closely with the project’s supervisor and editorial team, and maintain clear lines of communication with clients regarding materials, scopes, and feedback. The coordinator is pivotal in organizing internal reviews, taking accurate notes, and maintaining transparency and understanding of project scopes at all times. Additionally, they play a crucial role in following producers’ instructions to bring outsource service providers into VFX projects. They always lead the charge in orchestrating all client’s deliveries, providing the editorial team with precise delivery package composition details.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversees daily artist tasks across multiple VFX projects.
  • Manages schedules to ensure timely completion of quotas.
  • Conducts internal reviews and dailies, communicating effectively with various parties.
  • Ensures clear and prompt dissemination of notes to facilitate action items.
  • Addresses production issues, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Collaborates with leads/supervisors to optimize work completion within allocated timeframes.
  • Updates the Crew Manager and the VFX Production Manager on resource status.
  • Disseminate information to artists’ crew, VFX Production Assistants and Editorial.
  • Supports editorial on all data management aspects and prioritizes render farm tasks.

  • Prior experience in a VFX coordination role.

Position at Cine Chromatix

The Animation Artist works closely with our CG Supervisior and is responsible for creating believable animation with convincing performances and motion. You are able to create digi-double, creature, character or rigid body animation. Delivering work to strict deadlines and being aware of project schedules is a standard for you as well as working hard to achieve these goals. Communicating with the team is key and you must be willing to take notes and direction well. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • 3+ years in VFX Animation experience
  • Ability to perform visual and analytical problem solving in 3-dimensional space, including the ability to accurately interpret 3D layouts and analyse 3D form
  • Ability to problem solve and predict potential problems with assigned tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya
  • Showreel showcasing high end VFX work

Position at Cine Chromatix

Senior compositors at CX work closely with VFX Supervisors to deliver high quality shots as quickly and efficient as possible, while needing minimal guidance for their tasks. They will proactively identify possible issues in their shots/sequences and propose appropriate solutions. While meeting the qualitiy expectations, they will try to deliver tasks to the highest standard of delivery within the given timeframe.

In peak productions periods and crunch, they should be able to keep calm and a maintain morale levels in the team. In addition they should be able to share techniques with the team and mentor junior level talents.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process like 2D and 3D tracking, keying, layering of elements, roto/prep work, grain management or CG integration. 
  • Matching CG elements to the shot plates and elevating full CG shots to a hyper realistic level.
  • Collaborating with the supervisor and other departments on solving technical and creative challenges and ensure high quality standards of the production.
  • Establish looks for key visual effects shots in sequences.
 

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years VFX industry experience as a compositor on high end live-action feature films
  • Experience using Nuke
  • A knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting
  • Showreel demonstrating a wide range of high-end work including plate-based compositing, set extensions, FX and CG integration all finished to a high standard.
  • Must demonstrate a good eye for colour, composition and technical shot finishing and a proven ability to manage the complexity of work across multiple mid-level shots
  • Experience as a Roto and Prep Artist
  • Critical eye for details
  • A plus is experience in Matte Painting and Deep Compositing
  • Proactive and strong communicator
